Mission or goal? Which one are you on?

There is a fine line between those who have the ability to "make it" in entertainment as a global performer and those who won't . Perhaps the confusion is exacerbated more by trying to understand what a global performing artist is, much less trying to have a career as one. The Internet has changed the rules for everything in the world today. Take your pick. No matter what your endeavor there always seems to be a hint of "global implications" there lurking around the bend. If you recognize this you probably understand that we are living in a new dimension of life, a sort of "twilight zone" twist. if you will.

Don't worry, the aliens hare not being revealed yet (I'm talking about the other type like "My Favorite Martian") ; ). Nevertheless, it would do all of us to look around and take note of just how different things have really become. We can communicate with anyone, anywhere in the world in a manner of seconds, we can open the book to infinite knowledge with just one...hmmm, let me see now. Click of a MOUSE seems so dated now. Any way, you get my point. Just as soon as the infrastructure of the Internet around the world is complete can you imagine the possibilities? I sure can. Rather than set you mind to wondering let's stick with the performing arts, my chosen profession.

Everyday it becomes more clear and more evident that soon there will be a smaller set of chosen performers who will be lauded as "Global Talent", able to touch the mines and souls of people all around the globe rather than their own, domestic domain. Are you qualified to be one of these? It only makes sense because the basic motivation of a lot of people today is something just short of greed and the lust of money. It's not about taking care of your fellow man or love of the environment, nope. Pure and unadulterated lust of money is the primary urge that drives soulless men (and women) to step right over the homeless and hungry that line the streets of many a metropolis . Stay on point, dammit!

One of the key ways that you can determine if you are ready to be crowned King or Queen of the World is to ask yourself this question:

Is establishing success in your entertainment career your mission or is it your goal? Think about it...
